Mark A Fontanella

Mark began his law career in private practice in one of the largest law firms in Northeastern Pennsylvania, handling complex commercial litigation, medical malpractice and complicated insurance disputes. Thereafter, Mark joined a Philadelphia based, multi-state insurance defense firm where he concentrated his practice defending civil litigation disputes before joining The Blazick Law Firm.

Mark graduated from the Pennsylvania State University “with Distinction” as a member of the University Scholars program. He then earned his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law, where Mark was a member and editor of the Duquesne Law Review and Chairman of the Appellate Moot Court Honor Society. While in law school, Mark interned with the United States Attorney’s Office in both the Civil and Criminal Divisions and was also a clerk for the Office of Disciplinary Counsel, Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

Mark concentrates his practice on litigating third party automobile claims, uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, homeowner disputes as well as insurance coverage and bad faith matters.

Mark has lectured on these areas of practice in continuing legal education classes for the benefit of other lawyers and to numerous insurance carriers, adjusters and in-house counsel. He has been retained by other attorneys and firms to provide expert opinions on underinsured/uninsured motorist coverage issues and other insurance coverage disputes including commercial insurance matters.
